Key Stage 4
KS4
Key Stage 4 is the final stage of our pupil's journey through Kingswode Hoe School.
In years 10 and 11, our goal is to provide our students with the accreditation and the necessary skills to prepare for life beyond the school and their first steps into adulthood.
At Key Stage 4, a key focus is to increase our pupil's independence and resilience by offering supported work placements, college trips, the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award, residential trips and enterprise projects.

All pupils in Key Stage 4 study the accredited subjects of English, Maths, Computing and P.E. (Sports Leaders) in addition to PSCHE, RSE & Citizenship, Science, Work Related Learning and the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.

Options
In addition to our core curriculum, pupils choose one of two pathways: Creative Arts or Technology. The Arts is an accredited pathway where pupils can obtain a bronze or silver Arts Award. If pupils show an aptitude for Art then they can work towards a GCSE qualification. The technology pathway encompasses Food Technology and a Design Skills passport. Pupils have the opportunity to use our state of the art equipment in the newly completed technology block.
